This website is designed to be a public and accessible hub for makers to learn how to make fursuits. Although I have contributed a lot of tutorials and resources myself, you can help make fursuitmak.ing even better for newcomers!
Ways to contribute:
1) Creating your own tutorials on the forum
The board for fursuit tutorials is a fantastic place to easily write your own tutorials!
2) Coding tools for fursuit makers
If you have experience in coding, creating resources to help smooth out the fursuit making process helps a ton.
3) Documenting fur colors, manufacturers, and resources
If you have lots of fur swatches available, taking pictures of them in different lighting conditions and trying to estimate their color digitally as a hex code helps makers who are trying to color match specific shades of fur.
4) Documenting tutorials outside of fursuitmak.ing
The resource database has a ton of tutorials, however there are even more on social media platforms that I am not aware of! If you are active on social media and have a bunch of tutorials saved, linking to them with titles is a huge help.
5) Creating free patterns, templates, and 3D models
Making your own free resources for others to download and use is a great way to help new makers get started.
6) Answering questions on the forum
If someone has a problem they're trying to work out and you think you have an idea to tackle it, try offering your solution!
